In 2018, roughly 240,000 weight loss surgeries were carried out nationwide. Of those patients, an estimated 15,000 would eventually require a second operation because of insufficient weight loss or surgical complications. At approximately $25,000 per procedure, the annual financial burden on the healthcare system could reach $42 million. In response, our team created a dedicated mobile app designed to support and guide patients throughout every stage of their bariatric surgery experience.
